This small section of land has been the heart of the community since 1910 as it houses many organizations:
- Melbourne Agricultural Society
- A Middlesex County School
- Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Brownies
- Turf Club with horse barns and race horses
- Athletic Association and the ball diamonds
- Royal Canadian Legion Branch 510
- Lions International Club
- 4-H Clubs
